Creating and Managing a
.htaccess file:
Login to your control panel
Click File
Manager
Then go into the folder/directory that you'd like the .htaccess
file placed in
Then go to the bottom of the page where it says File
name: (next to the create/edit file)
Type in the file name -
.htaccess
It should then say:The file .htaccess does not exist. Please
confirm creation.
Click Confirm
Then paste your .htaccess file into
the text box and submit the file.
Because of the hidden nature of
the .htaccess file it will not appear in the file manager or through ftp,
however as long as you follow these instructions it will still work
correctly. |
