In the course of serving our clients there is some acquisition, storage, and transmission of customer communications and information that may be regarded as private or sensitive. Some of this information - such as the client's name, address, telephone number, and credit card data - is provided by our clients in order to establish service. Other information - such as the client's account status, choice of services, and log files - is created and maintained by us in the normal course of providing service.

Information Security

aLotOfSpace.com will protect the confidentiality of its clients' information, account information and personal communications to the fullest extent possible and consistent with the laws and interests of aLotOfSpace.com, its partners, employees, and other clients of aLotOfSpace.com's services. To protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of information that is collected from our clients, aLotOfSpace.com has appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures in place.

Is Personal Client Information Used or Sold

NO!  aLotOfSpace.com WILL NOT SHARE CLIENT INFORMATION with anyone, partners or otherwise, for any reason unless explicitly requested by the client. aLotOfSpace.com DOES NOT keep records of your visitors online habits, nor yours. aLotOfSpace.com respectfully believes in the privacy of both you and your visitors. aLotOfSpace.com expects the same respect in return with regard to the aLotOfSpace.com USAGE POLICY.

Personal Control Panel Settings

Most clients may access and modify their personal information via their online personal control panel/account information page.

It is important to note that customer domain name registration information is made publicly available in the registry of domain names, and IS NOT provided by aLotOfSpace.com.

Disclosure of Client Information/Communications

aLotOfSpace.com will not disclose its clients' personal and/or account information unless aLotOfSpace.com has reason to believe that disclosing such information is necessary to identify, make contact with, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing harm or interfering with the rights or property of aLotOfSpace.com, aLotOfSpace.com's clients, or others, or where aLotOfSpace.com has belief that the law requires such disclosure.

aLotOfSpace.com will not, except for reasons stated, disclose to third parties contents of electronic mail or electronic communications that aLotOfSpace.com stores or transmits for clients. The reasons which aLotOfSpace.com will disclose such clients' electronic communications are:

  1. when it is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of aLotOfSpace.com and/or its customers;
  2. when it is required to cooperate with interception orders, warrants, or other legal process that aLotOfSpace.com determines to be valid and enforceable; and
  3. when it is necessary to provide to a law enforcement agency when the contents are inadvertently obtained by aLotOfSpace.com and appear to pertain to the commission of a crime.

aLotOfSpace.com disclaims any intention to censor, edit or engage in ongoing review or surveillance of communications stored on or transmitted through its facilities by clients or others. aLotOfSpace.com will, however, review, delete or block access to communications that may harm aLotOfSpace.com, its clients, or third parties. The grounds on which aLotOfSpace.com may take such action include, but are not limited to, actual or potential violations of aLotOfSpace.com's USAGE POLICY.

aLotOfSpace.com's policies and procedures for handling customer information have been created with the understanding that Internet technologies are still evolving and that Internet business methods are continuing to evolve to meet the needs and opportunities of the changing technologies. As a result, aLotOfSpace.com's policies and procedures are subject to change.


aLotOfSpace.com Usage Policy

 

As a provider of web site hosting, web design, and other Internet-related services, aLotOfSpace.com has a Usage Policy, which explains each clients responsibility with respect to the Service Agreement. Intended as a guide to clients rights and obligations when using aLotOfSpace.com's services. The Usage Policy may be updated from time to time. A client's use of aLotOfSpace.com's services after changes to the Usage Policy are posted to this aLotOfSpace.com web site, www.aLotOfSpace.com/usagepolicy.html, will constitute acceptance of any such changes.

No one party owns or controls the Internet. This fact accounts for much openness and value, but also places a high premium on judgment and responsibility of we who use the Internet. aLotOfSpace.com cannot monitor, verify, warrant, or vouch for the accuracy or quality of the information that may be acquired. Subscribers must exercise his or her best judgment in relying on any information obtained from the Internet, and also should be aware that some material posted to the Internet is sexually explicit or otherwise offensive. Because aLotOfSpace.com cannot monitor or censor the Internet, and will not attempt to do so, aLotOfSpace.com cannot accept any responsibility for injury to its subscribers that results from inaccurate, unsuitable, offensive, or illegal Internet communications.

When subscribers disseminate information through the Internet, they also must keep in mind that aLotOfSpace.com does not review, edit, censor, or take responsibility for any information its subscribers may create. When users place information on the Internet, they have the same liability as other authors for copyright infringement, defamation, and other harmful speech. Also, because the information they create is carried over aLotOfSpace.com's network and may reach a large number of people, including both subscribers and non-subscribers of aLotOfSpace.com, subscribers' postings to the Internet may affect other subscribers and may harm or conflict with aLotOfSpace.com's morals and ethics, business reputation, and/or operations. For these reasons, subscribers are in violation of the aLotOfSpace.com Usage Policy and Service Agreement when they, their clients, affiliates, or subsidiaries engage in any of the prohibited activities following:

Spamming - Sending unsolicited bulk and/or commercial messages over the Internet (known as "spamming").

Intellectual Property Violations - Any activity that infringes or misappropriates intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, service marks, trade secrets, software piracy, or patents held by individuals, corporations, or other entities. Also, any activity that violates privacy, publicity, or other personal rights of others.

Obscenity - Using aLotOfSpace.com's hosting network to advertise, transmit, store, post, display, or otherwise make available child pornography or obscene speech or material. aLotOfSpace.com is required by law to notify law enforcement agencies when it becomes aware of the presence of child pornography on or being transmitted through aLotOfSpace.com's network... and will!

Language - Using aLotOfSpace.com's network as a means to transmit or post defamatory, harassing, abusive, or threatening language.

Forging Message Headers - Forging or misrepresenting message headers, whether in whole or in part.

Illegal or Unauthorized Access - Illegally accessing (or without authorization) computers, accounts, or networks belonging to another party, or attempting to breach security of another individual/company's system (commonly known as "hacking").

Viruses, Worms, Trojan Horses, or Other Destructive Activities - Distributing information regarding the creation of and sending Internet viruses, worms, Trojan horses, pinging, flooding, mail bombing, or denial of service attacks. Also, any activity that disrupts the use of, or interferes with others effective use of the network, or any connected network, system, service, or equipment.

Illegal Activity - Any activity that is determined to be illegal, including illegal gambling, illegal advertising, transmitting or soliciting scam schemes, pyramid schemes, fraudulently charging of credit cards, pirating software, etc.

Other - Any activity, whether lawful or unlawful, that aLotOfSpace.com determines to be harmful to its subscribers, morals, ethics, operations, reputation, or customer relations.

Responsibility for avoiding the harmful activities above fore mentioned rests solely on the subscriber. aLotOfSpace.com will not monitor communications of its subscribers to ensure that they comply with aLotOfSpace.com policy or applicable law. When aLotOfSpace.com becomes aware of harmful activities, however, it may take any action to stop the harmful activity, including but not limited to, removing information, shutting down the web site, implementing screening software designed to block offending transmissions, or take any other action it deems appropriate.

aLotOfSpace.com is concerned with the privacy of on-line communications and web sites. (See Privacy Policy) In so much, however, aLotOfSpace.com cannot take any responsibility for the security of information transmitted over aLotOfSpace.com's facilities. aLotOfSpace.com WILL NOT monitor private electronic mail messages sent or received by its subscribers unless required to do so by law, governmental authority, or when public safety is at stake. aLotOfSpace.com may disclose information, including but not limited to, information concerning a subscriber, or a web site, in order to comply with a court order, subpoena, summons, discovery request, warrant, statute, regulation, or governmental request. aLotOfSpace.com assumes no obligation to inform the subscriber that subscriber information has been provided and in some cases may be prohibited by law from giving such notice.

Finally, aLotOfSpace.com wishes to acknowledge that in signing the Service Agreement, subscribers indemnify aLotOfSpace.com for any violation of the Service Agreement, law, or aLotOfSpace.com Usage Policy, that results in a loss to aLotOfSpace.com, or the bringing of any claim against aLotOfSpace.com by any third-party.
